Does music help headaches

I have been haveing a lot of headches lately do to things going on in my life that just plane suck, I have notice that at times they get really bad. so I play music as loud as I can on my computer or ipod.
when I play music my headaches get better and...

go away, does music really help?

You may be getting these headaches because of the loud volumes. Maybe it adds just the same amount of pressure to cancel out the pain already occurring, but that is probably a false statement. My theory sounds good...

I think it might because when I have a headache it seems to block out the pain. it weird.

your music could just be a stress reliever and the less stressed you are the less headaches you'll have

out of my experience listening music does help to get headache away, especially when it comes with a bed weather like rain.
what I experienced however not every music but just some decent music gives positive effect to calm the headache dowm.
