Does mane n tale work for african american hair

Can't tell you for sure but you have to strip the silicon (what mane and tail is made of) off your hair with head and shoulders once a month so it doesn't build up. It kinda works the way wax does on the floor and with similar results. Point being the stripping process left my hair really dry and easily breakable. Even after I re applied the main and tail the hair was dry breakable but shiny .
