Does gettin your belly botton hurt

me and my friend are ganna go get our belly botton done but am TERRIFED its ganna hurt people say it doesent but they say it hurts when your a little fat ! I weight like 120 so am a little fat but I really wanna know if it hurts and how much does it cost...

But I think they numb it so it doesn't hurt as much
Just remember to clean it for a few weeks if you get it done so it doesn't get infected .

Lol I weigh 125 and I've had mine done 5 times total... im gonna get a 6th in september...

They don't hurt at all (it'll just feel like a pinch)... afterwards it may hurt depending on the folds in your belly (if the fold passes throug your navel then yes it'll pinch but it dosen't hurt that bad) but otherwise you have nothing to worry about...
Honestly though when and if they clamp your navel, that part hurts more then actually piercing it...

It'll be tender for a while... and just don't forget that they take upwards of 6 months to heal...

LOL they don't numb it as the girl above said... No piercing is ever numbed...

And yes cleaning is very important but its also very easy... just do epson salt soaks twice a day for about 7mins, and clean with anti-microbial soap =]

Infections suck, but they're rare, and it isn't somthing you need to worry about if you clean it properly... And with every piercing comes the risk of rejection or allergic reaction...

You will certainly feel it but since pain is relative and everyone is different, no one can tell you how it will feel to you.

The clamp will pinch a bit, and the needle going through usually feels like a quick prick but it does not hurt that much for most people.

For those that really want a piercing, the small amount of pain is not a deciding factor.

Just think for a minute, if it was so excrutiatingly painful, do you think so many people would have piercings, and in some cases, in worse places than their belly buttons.

Honestly...I don't have a good pain tolerance and to me it wasn't bad at all...it hurt for me a bit afterwards and I felt faint because I actually looked when they did it ...but it really doesn't hurt at all...it's just a bit uncomfortable.

I got my belly button piereced and it didnt hurt one bit..I think it depends how much tolerance you have for pain..but you should be fine =]

I pierced my today by myself. Without it being numb and I only felt a slight pinch at the end.

I would not recommend anyone doing this themself as it is easy to get an infection if the equipment is not sterilised.

It does not cost so much to have this done professionally and you have peace of mind that the equipment is sterile and infection is therefore minimused.

I didn't feel a thing when I got my navel pierced, I was even holding someones hand waiting for pain, but nothing happened. Believe me I am not a twig, 5'2' 137 LBS. Just be prepared for the soreness afterwords. Try to buy spray called H2Ocean, its a spray bottle of cleaning solution for when your on the go and need to clean it.

Mine only cost me 40, but some people I know have been charged 60.

well, I have my eyebrow done, my lip, my nose a few times on my ears ..
out of them all, bellybutton was the most painful thing.. ever..
for me anyways.
My skin was really tuff, but its not like that for everyone.
It doesnt really matter what size you are,
it really depends on how stubborn your skin is, or how much pain tolerance you have.

I got mine done and it didnt hurt at all. im 5'5 and weight 164. :p it costed me $40.00
