I think you should wear what you feel most comfortable in, and what gets you the reaction from other people that you want, I think that upon first glance, people do judge people to a certain extent on what they wear, because it is what you see when you first see a person.

go back to boyish-clothes. if thats the style you like, then thats the style that will keep you happy. I had the same problem too. American Eagle, Hollister, etc. those labels are popular at my school and I wear them, but I ripped off all of the logos, wore the clothes, and felt much better. No-Name brands are my favorite :]
