Does anyone know how to speak correctly?

Honestly, over half the questions on here look like they are posted by elementary school students.
I see are put in for our, people who mix up to and too, and people who just can't spell to save their lives.
It's annoying.
I hate people who use bad...

conventions and horrible grammar.
If you would've just paid attention in elementary school then you would be able to speak like an educated adult.

Does anyone else agree that uneducated people that have no reason to be stupid are just obnoxious?

Every now and then we get this rant - and it makes me go Phew! Someone totally needed to bring this up again. But it makes me realize no matter how many times it gets pointed out, the people talking like that just don't care.

Unfortunately they are going to keep talking like they are in kinder garden and we cant stop them. I personally think speaking properly makes the person look more mature in some way.

Also I've noticed when people post questions where you can barley understand what they are saying, their questions usually don't get taken as seriously. I mean yeah everyone has a typo now and then, but some people overdo it and spell every other word wrong.

I understand some people have spelling problems, but all it takes is a simple spell check download. Once I get typing I make quite a few mistakes but I go back to correct most of them. I couldn't be bothered with trying to read 'typ1ng l1k3 th15' so I just move past it and don't even pay attention to what they are saying.

I agree with you on the point of speaking properly makes someone look/sound more mature.

I don't really care. I always try to use good punctuation, and grammar. But when I was younger and first started to use the computer I would, TyP3 LyK3 Diz.

So, maybe they're just younger? Or maybe they just like typing like that. Whatever, it's there choice. But I do agree that it looks stupid.

I know just what you mean. I am so tired of reading questions and answers that make no sense. It's like I need a damn rosetta stone(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta_Stone) to decipher through the paragraph.
If it were me, I wouldnt want to be thought of as uneducated, immature and plain ignorant. I would want to seem smart.
My brother is 15 and he thinks its 'kewl 2 typ3 lyk3 diz' and to spell his words wrong and whatnot. he thinks his friends are cool for doing it too. Haha.

As an aspiring English major, I see this too, and sometimes it's bad but they haven't learned yet. They are on the right track to become better.

It's because it's easier and fun.

its a lot eaisier I people some people just cant spell they find it hard to after elementry they dont teach you how to spell and the english language breaks a lot of rules like through should be spelled froo if you want to go by the rules of the english language so some people just cant spell get over it and I spelled checked this 5 time trying to makes sure there wasn't anything that was oing to tick you off you highness I know that was spelled wrong GET OVER IT!!!
