Does anyone else hate the pink fluffy bunny cannon?

Everytime I see that phrase it sends shivers up my spine. Why can't it be something less...Pink and/or Fluffy?

Or just a regular cannon?

theres nothing wrong with being pink and fluffy as long as you have lots of black to balance.

But being SHOT with something pink and fluffy, that's a whole different subject.

and for the record I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Whenever a user is being disrespectful, or negative towards someone else, they are shot with the pink fluffy bunny cannon.

Okay, allow me to shed some light on this.

I can't stand when people make mean, nasty, rude, insulting comments about other people. Often it's uncalled for, and it never seems to help. Often I find people say nasty things on here to other member to try and 'bait' them, or get a reaction. I also find some people getting a little too worked up in discussions, letting strip with a number of words they would never use in front of Grandma. Sometimes, when someone is saying something unnecessarily nasty, I bring in the PFB cannon.

The idea of PFBs (Pink Fluffy Bunnies) came from another web-forum I'm a part of. Whenever a discussion gets out of control, or people result to insults, the term 'PFBs!' is used, basically, to say 'calm down, take a deep breath' of 'that was completely uncalled for'. It's just something light hearted to get people to re-assess their actions. The cannon was something Captainassassin came up with in his design class for me (how sweet of him!), as a means of propelling PFBs towards those who need them, and generally to get a laugh.

So, why Pink Fluffy Bunnies? Well, imagine someone getting really angry or annoyed- red faced, ready to explode with a bunch of nasty 4 letter words. Then all of a sudden, POP POP POP! Pink fluffy bunnies appear, giggling and being insanely cute and adorable. Random, yes. But lets face it, lots of people think bunnies are gorgeous. A cute little bunny sure takes my mind off being angry.

The group PFB distribution centre was started because a few of us on here were tired of people on here being just downright mean. Sure, some people may need a reality check, but there's always a tactful and polite way to phrase whatever it is you want to say. So, we started the group, firing PFBs at anyone who was being mean, or just getting too angry.

Consider it a comical way to keep the peace. If you don't like it, just ignore it.

There's not always a tactful and polite way to phrase something. You have to be a little rude to get it through some thick skulls. Being shot with the cannon to me, is like saying 'I have nothing that can top your answer, and since you obviously know what your talking about, we're going to silence you and disregard your comment with a stupid insulting gag.'

There is _always_ a tactful and polite way to phrase something... some people don't have the patience to continue with an argument tactfully and with reason. And the PFB's and their cannon is an awesome concept, in my opinion. Its about getting everyone to stop throwing insults at each other and to take a minute to calm down - note that the person who fires the PFB cannon is usually never one of the people involved in the argument when it gets nasty, so its not about topping someone else's answer. As lex_icon says, its about keeping the peace... and the less 'fights' we have on here, the less you will see the PFB cannon being used. So if you don't like it... don't be mean to anyone!

There is ALWAYS a tactful and polite way to phrase things to someone of 'lesser intelligence'.

You just have to choose your words more carefully and be more delicate which in itself takes more social grace than what most people *cough cough* possess.

I love the pink fluffy bunny cannon... and it's purpose isn't to top an answer or provide a gag joke when the user has run out of answers (I mean really... that's giving the PFB a little TOO much credit.) It's purpose is pretty much the same as an adult yelling 'HEY COOL IT!' in a heated argument between two tweens... which is a pretty accurate comparison to most of the questions that require a PFB shot.

well I always say if they are of lower intelligence then you should be more blunt with them cause its easier to understand than saying pink fluffy bunny cannon cause the the person of lower intelligence its stumped and is wondering what did they just say

You can be blunt all you want, just don't insult people (or their intelligence)
The PFB is never an answer to a question. The PFB is to keep rude and offensive ANSWERS in check. It's basically saying 'Hey, that was rude buddy, be nice!'

You may not agree with a user's opinion on something... that's fine. But instead of flinging insults which will get you no where, you can simply 'agree to disagree' and move on. Then there would be no reason for a PFB invasion.

I have never been shot with that fluffy bunny thing, and I didn't even know it existed untill I clicked on this question, but if I was off on a rant, typing obsceties at some blockheaded redneck, the last thing I would want would be some other loser trying to calm me down by telling me I just got shot by a PINK FLUFFY BUNNY CANNON! I so just set myself up for a PFB then, didn't I? AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Now I'm even including that term in normal conversation! It's poisoned my mind!!! Heeelp!

The only things that should be pink AND fluffy are handcuffs, pimp coats, and the rug at Ricky's Pharm. Got that?

Wow, I can't decide what'll be worse, being shot out of that or beat up by a nun(seriously, they learn karate now a days to beat idiots who steal their groceries XD).

Why can't they call it they shut- up canon or something if it's meant to calm people down?
Heck, if anything PFBC would kinda boil my blood. I mean think of it, it makes you think you're being shot out of a fluffy pink cannon by a bunch of pink rabbits, that would be humiliating(but funny as h3ll to watch)
