Does anyone..care about the environment?

actually care about the environment and endangered animals? Or do most people just go along with whatever anyone that actually does care is doing. ( doesnt make much sense, sorry)
So many people ask questions about relationships, sex, and beauty but...

theres hardly ANY environment ones! Yes im one of the people that ask questions on beauty and crap but I actually DO care about the environment endangered species and I dont think many people are doing much to help it out.

So who here REALLY cares about whats happening to the rainforests/environment and endangered species?

Yes I do care a lot...I am actually going to go to school for zoology because I want to work with endangered animals...mostly the giant panda and I want to try to help them find more bamboo and help the enviroment in which they are living so more bamboo can grow there.

Well this is the sex and relationship area. I would think that if you wanted to ask questions about that, you would go to Environmental Issues. If there isn't anyone there, then there's not much you can do about it.

to be honest, I sometimes forget
when commercials come on about endangered animals
my heart breaks and I wish there was something I can do that would help
but as my day goes on I forget about whats happening, to these animals or to the rainforests...
I sometimes wish I wasnt so selfish with my life...

Caring is not going to make a real difference. The planet is heading towards doom for the human race, and that fact negates anything else. When we're gone, the earth will rejuvenate and plant and animal life willo begin anew. They will outperform and outlive us in the end. So environmentalism is mostly a waste of time, focus on solving chronic human problems that we have more of a chance of fixing (for example shorter supermarket queues). If it just me or is that problem spiralling out of control?

I do care a lot but I dont really know what to do about it im preety young and people say young people can really make a diffrence but its not a piece of cake asking people to care and figuring out what you can do to help...any ideas?

You know I always think about how we are leading to our destruction of the earth, eventually, and I always know that in the future when it is too late and we are all suffering, we'll all be thinking about the good old days and the whole human population will be seriously regretting how lazy they were.

Everyone, it is always better to be safe than sorry! Even if Global Warming is a load of crap, what if it isn't? Would you rather suffer the consequences than to be safe and nice to the Earth? And if Global Warming isn't happening there is still proof that recycling and saving energy is good for the earth. Why not be nice to it?

cambei, youre so right. even if people dont believe in some things that may or may not destroy this planet, why WOULDNT you be nice to it? why wouldnt you recycle or drive less, or just do whatever to help it? Just because you dont believe in global warming or anything else doesnt mean you can still continue to be so cruel to this planet that is basically letting us live and carry on with our lives.
and sweetsour712, reduse reuse and recycle. walk to places more often if you feel theyre close enough or you know its not that far of a walk. turn lights off when you dont need them, turn your computer off before you go to bed or if anyone else goes on after remind them to turn it off, it lets out a lot of carbon into the air. buy more recycled materials to show people/companies that we are capable of living off of recycled materials and what not. dont take such long showers either, thats SO much water being wasted!! make them at least 15-20 minutes, thats all you need. etc

I care I realy care god made everything to be loved and looked after. I dont eat meat and I refuse to eat caged eggs. I love animals they are part of gods wonderful creation.

I really care about the environment. I walk almost everywhere, I'm a vegetarian, going onto ovo-vegetarian and even then will only be eating our own chickens' eggs, who are totally free range. I'm always as careful as I can be with electricity and believe in a natural way of life. It's just so sad; there aren't enough of us and it's going to end in a catastrophic matter.
