Does age matter?

does age realy matter when 2 people are in love ... I dont think it does but I have frands that wont even think of dateing some one like over a year older or younger than them ... what do you think

numerical age doesnt account for maturity. if you have things in common with the person youre with, if you can relate to them and understand them then age is just a number.

a year or two at your age is fine, but when it starts getting to 3 or 4 years difference when your still young that matters

ummm I dont really think it matters because I dated a guy who was 19 and im only 15 and we dated for about three years. we started when I was in seventh grade and he was a sophmore sooo I dont think it really matters/..

Age doesnt matter if both parties dating are minors, or both are adults, but If your 16, and dating someone in their 20s, then yes age DOES matter! Thats why there are laws to protect minors!

I saw a post once that said the guy should be half the girl's age plus ten years. That would make your choice to be seventeen to eighteen years old.

There is a very great difference in the degree of maturity, life experience and goals/desires between a girl of 15 and a man of 19 or older. I'm not saying that it is an impossible relationship but very improbable.

You may be excessively attracted to him because of his 'perceived' maturity whereas he may be attracted to you because of your naiveté.

You have your whole life of many many years ahead of you. Proceed with caution.

Don't be afraid to date boys closer to your own age. They are your peers and will have similar goals and aspirations as you and you are most likely to find 'Mr. Right' in that group.
