Do you think it’s wrong to download music and movies?

best friends Asked by voice5w33t over 2 years ago, 2 answers.

I’ve been using torrents for awhile, but a lot of people keep telling me how wrong it is to download stuff. Do you think it’s wrong?

If you're infringing on the copyright of another person or entity, then yes, it's wrong. Movies cost ~4 per rental on my comcast on demand service, which is quite cheap, and I never watch movies more than once.

I'd highly recommend doing something that doesn't infringe on other people's rights...but, to each his own.

for music, i figure that you download music to find out if you like it. if you like it, you buy it to support the artists. if you dont like it, you dont buy it. that way, you only get the best!

for software, i figure that for the little i use 'em, i should have to pay for them. but, if you use it for a paying job, then i would think it unfair to use illegal software.
