I believe that yes, peoples lives are shaped by their experiences. But, of course, it is how we are brought up more than anything else. If we have been brought up with no harm brought to us, everything always going our way, then of course we are seen as vain. This is the same for many attitudes. Also, if you are bullied, that affects self confidence, which can affect your whole life. You may grow up to live off the government rather than be a successful business person. A person who is a teenager can be wiser than a person who is middle aged, yes. I have seen many examples of that in all my 14 years on this planet. It's because of this thing I call 'common sense'... You don't necessarily need to be clever to be wise, you need to have common sense though.
Sorry if my answer was a little confusing, but it's the best I could come up with at this point in time...
Oh, and my answer has a lot of opinions rather than facts, so it is not necessarily all true.

all I kn0w is there is thing called karma.I've n0ticed if y0u d0 s0mething bad/nasty/cheat/ bla bla bla then it c0mes back at y0u 3x.life experience helps but we c0nstantly learn s0mething new everyday.
No doubt people's lives are shaped to a degree by personal experiences - person's I consider wise are those with integrity, good values, and yet are humble.
No, I don't believe that. What I always say is,
'If you lived through a horrible experience, then you should be better then that. You should stand above.'
But then again, not everyone is strong enough to do so. But I believe if everyone tried, that they wouldn't have to be shaped by their personal experiences.
In just one post you made 3 questions.
1 Do you think a persons life is shaped by their experiences. ?
2 A person who is a teenager can be wiser than someone who is middle aged
3 What do you personally consider to be a wise person?
1
Yes , I do.
A persons life is not entirely shapeed by her experiences. Genetics also play a part , but experiences can certainly play a very big role in someones life and character.
A classical example is the case of someone abused during childhood.
Many of these people never recover and their lifes , often , got ruined in consequence of the trauma in early childhood.
2 Yes, of course.
Look at a girl that is doing college..., and a guy in his 50s that does drink for most of the day.
Who is wiser ?
3 That question is hard , all the more hard since my native language is not english and I am not living in a english speaking country.
A wise person is someone who has managed to fulfill an hight degree of happiness through his or her own effords.
A wise person is someone who is able to give advice to others. The advice given by the wise person , if followed , will result in real benefits for the individual who receive it.

Do you think a persons life is shaped by their personal experiences
Do you think a persons life is shaped by their experiences. Like people who are very egotistical do they grow up in their own little perfect world and in turn are portrayed as very vain. Does this mean a person who is a teenager can be wiser than someone who is middle aged because of certain life experiences that have shaped them? What do you personally consider to be a wise person?
