I am a wife and I don't know how to play the wife role that well! I clean (most of the time), but cooking is the challenge for me! I think that the man should take some of the responsibility though... I mean I keep up with the bills and things like that and it gets stressful! I don't feel like it should always be all on me to be the responsible one though! I wish I did have super-woman powers and could keep up with everything so that my husband could play his x-box all day (I know that is what he would do if he had nothing else)! Would you mind giving me some tips for cooking every night, such as, different thing to make, the fastest things when you don't have much time, etc.? You could also give me tips on how you schedule your time for all of that as well! Funmail them to me please! Thanks!
I recently finished playing the 'house wife' role to my live in boyfriend of 2 years. Yeah given he worked over 40 hours a week, but I also went to school, worked, plus, cooked, cleaned, and always made sure he had clean clothes for work the next day. I was working just as hard as him and I rarely got a 'thank you'. I dont think its right for women to do all the house work. We live in the 21st century and men should do some to equal the amount of house work as the wife, figuring they BOTH live there. Its only fair.
Dear surya,
I was with my husband a year before we married. During this time we shared in all the chores. He washed I dried. He cleaned the living room I cleaned the bedroom etc. We sorted clothes together and folded them when we both took them out of the dryer etc. The key is to have a schedule and a routine. If you both have opposite schedules then you use a chore chart and mark off what each of you has done. Men and women alike feel pride in contributing to a relationship in all aspects. So allow your man to feel like he is helping out and that he will gather points for when the work is done and it's time to play.
Sue...good luck

Do you find it hard to play the wife role?
If you are a live-in girlfriend do you ever find it a challenge to play the wife role? Like cooking and cleaning? Do you cook and clean for your partner at all? I do it everyday and I don't let him lift a finger. I believe a woman should do these things and any man will be happy to have a woman like that.
