Sure I believe in G-d, seems logical to me. I have never seen a house built without design, so I figure a complex life form would require design as well espeically when it has happened so often on earth. I also don't understand how somthing that is non living can create a living creature. Also the fact that DNA no matter how long you study it can never be explained without a creator. The bible has been pretty consistant with geography, history archology and science so its pretty safe to believe in.

no, im a proud athiest
and dont beleive in any god, especially not the chrsitian one
one of the main reasons is not just because there is no proof, but because the thought of some gigantic human being pointing his finger and poofing things into existance seems like bullsh*t to me
also I dont agree with anything else christianity in particular teaches
and to be honest
I would also be happier dead than beleiving in the christian god

yeah, I mean I know analyzing the concept of God brings up a lot of questions but everything to try to disprove him is mere hypotheticals.. science is very relevant but all of sciences theories on creation are well merely theories.. I know there are many arguments on this subject but I'm not going to get to much in to that I'm just going to give you my personal opinion.. The most widely accepted theory (in science) on how the universe was created is the big bang theory a theory where basically in it's description is that the universe started as all of the matter that we are surrounded by and made up of was once packed together into a very tiny speck.. basically imagine complete emptiness.. and in the middle of that emptiness a speck no bigger then a grain of sand consisting of everything that is today.. and that for some reason all of a sudden that speck exploded in a huge super powered outward thrust.. that sent that speck flying in all directions expanding faster then anything we could ever even possibly imagine.. and from that expansion everything was created.. so that takes me to this.. what created the speck.. yes I know that argument can go both ways but how can a speck come from nothing even something as tiny as a grain of sand and how could something that small expand into something so extremely vast and huge.. and in scientific theory there are many contradictions to this theory because the big bang theory says that the universe is expanding which basically created the theory of universal expansion and the idea that the universe is constantly expanding from the original location where expansion began.. yeah shits blowin your mind I know but just hang with me.. but then a new theory arose a theory that basically says that the universe isn't expanding that expansion is not whats happening in fact the universe is coming back to the original point from which expansion began and in fact the universe is closing in on itself.. crazy I know.. but hang with me.. so this theory sparks a whole wave of new theories the theory on the universe consisting mostly of what is called dark matter basically matter with no density or shape or consistency so basically space.. which best describes space because thats all it is empty space.. furthermore bringing on the theory of parallel universes and string theory and bla bla bla bla bla I cud go on forever.. yeah im a nerd I know.. so anyways after picking to peices all of that what do you have.. well nothing really except theories with no true evidence of any of this besides what some may say.. math can't explain everything I know it seems like it but equations are merely equations.. they cant describe this vast universe no matter how much you pick and tinker with em.. and noone was there to actually see what happened with all of this its not like albert einstein took a trip thru space.. (tho that wudve been cool).. but anyways so to my belief.. I believe in God I think the theories of science is digging to deep into the true escence of life I think its trying to find answers to questions that are just unanswerable to be honest.. I believe in God because not because I am intellectually lazy in trying to find the answers on life but I think that the answers to life are already sitting in front of us I think people as a whole are just trying to analyze things way to deeply.. when self discovery and spiritual discovery starts right here.. right were we are standing and we start looking in all sorts of directions to find the answers instead of starting right where we are.. thats why I meditate but thats another story.. anyways so I believe In God basically because when it comes down to it it's the best damn thing I can think to believe in out of all the theories of how all this crap came into existence.. and I know people say science and religion are complete contradictions to each other like God creating earth in 7 days but then you have the argument that at that point in time there was no true definition of what a day is now a day to god couldve been billions of years which brings up a whole bunch of other stuff and then theres the argument that who created god.. but thats just the damn chicken and the egg argument and I think its the damn chicken and I choose God lol anyways thats my opinion..

No. There isn't any reason to think there are any gods, as far as I can tell, and that's sufficient reason to dismiss the idea as nothing more than ancient superstition.

Hypocrite.

Long story short-
yup I believe in God,
Why?
Well, why not? Because there is no proof? because it makes no sense?
those are idiotic reasons for not believing,

maybe people should look harder for evidence, instead of depending on the very same scientists who have wrongly predicted the end of the world a million times, who spend their time trying to make sh*t invisible instead of curing cancer, and who dont emphazise on the fact that science is made of theories, and there's not PROOF of Evolution, there is EVIDENCE.
learn the difference between the two words before you talk down on MY beliefs and MY God, science is just as much bullsh*t as religion, if not more.

***My brother did a science project and he used a bucket and water. And he left it there for six months and there was no hand in it or anythink ***.

WHY was there supposed to be a hand in it? Did some religious fanatic tell you that it was supposed to happen?

***If you taught more scientist you should know that the crape that scientist are going really is stupid.***
Yep and ESPECIALLY this COMPUTER you are using at the moment...really...now that is cr@p

***Grow some brains this is dumb, I forgot to mention I hate atheist and scientist that make up that crape.***

What crap? Evolution...as far as I am aware the theory of evolution doesn't say let a bucket of water stand for 6 weeks and there'll be a hand in it.

***Believe and have faith don't be dumb and reject I know he is out there. ***
No, YOU DON'T you BELIEVE he is out there. There's a HUGE difference.

ps. the question wasn't asking you to bash others' beliefs...it was merely asking for an opinion...please LEARN to read.

As for the question.
I don't believe in the Christian God...mainly because there are too many contradictions concerning the Christian religion in my opinion.

I believe in God, and I am proud to know that there's God that made everything possible for me.. God taught me that I may not be perfect and have everything that I want, but he is there that brought peace in me that makes me feel okay...

I respect all other's opinions and beliefs, but I don't think that others can just go make offensive reactions with others' beliefs, because it goes to show that that person mightve been having troubles with his/herself's beliefs.. and it might mean bitterness with the decision he/she chose to believe in-something they ain't wanna believe in but is pushed to be in and not be laughed about.. that's lame and pathetic.. I'm not against anyone, but if you're fully happy with what your stand is on this issue, you will be happy with what others believe, too, and not get into their business and start being righteous and mortify yourself without you knowing...

Actually I know people who have been healed from cancer when they've been prayed for so sadly your argument doesnt quite stand up.
I believe in God because I have had personal experiences with Him and He has helped me through some really tough situations, so I have personal proof.

A Him from times past may be Her for our times God has donned a human suit at
various times to suit His/Her own purposes. During these times in the flesh He is
earthbound for the duration of the host's natural life and basically uses the initiate
to get around and to SHOUT to the world. Believe? Oh I believe alright. I should know.

***maybe people should look harder for evidence, instead of depending on the very same scientists who have wrongly predicted the end of the world a million times,***

Or the many christians who have claimed thousands of times that jesus is going to come to earth and take all his believers with him...strange that that hasn't happened yet.

*** who spend their time trying to make sh*t invisible instead of curing cancer, and who dont emphazise on the fact that science is made of theories, and there's not PROOF of Evolution, there is EVIDENCE.***

YOU misunderstand the concepts. CERTAIN elements of evolution have been. PROVEN...therefore there is PROOF.

and science can't Cure cancer yet, where on earth did you hear that they could? you're sources are incorrect.

***learn the difference between the two words before you talk down on MY beliefs and MY God, science is just as much bullsh*t as religion, if not more.***

You Learn the difference between proof and evidence. There is proof of certain points of evolution. And if science bullshit what the hell are you doing on your computer?

science is very relevant but all of sciences theories on creation are well merely theories..

geee, you obviously don't understand the definition of a scientific theory. You do realize the gravity is merely a theory. Do you deny gravity. You are confusing theory and hypothesis. Something becomes a theory when the hypotesis has been observed and tested. The idea that the universe is expanding away from a central point has been observed, and is widely accepted among scientists. Your simplistic explanation of the theory is not at all accurate.

maybe people should look harder for evidence, instead of depending on the very same scientists who have wrongly predicted the end of the world a million times, who spend their time trying to make sh*t invisible instead of curing cancer, and who dont emphazise on the fact that science is made of theories,

kyra112, you too obviously don't understand what a scientific theory is. And when has science predicted the end of the world? And what scientists are abandoning cancer research for studies in making things invisible? Where do you get this nonsense?

there's not PROOF of Evolution, there is EVIDENCE.

Wrong, you need to learn the difference between the theory of evolution and the fact of evolutuion. There is irrefutable evidence that evolution has occurred. The fossil records are quite clear. It is a fact. There is no doubt. What is a theory is the way evolution works,(I.e. natural selection, mutation, survival of the fittest). But as I said, it is a theory that is almost universally accepted by scientists. You are right, there is evidence. An overwhelming amount of evidence. Just as there is for the theory of gravity.

by the way ... one believes on Christ not (in) Christ. The devil and his minions
believe in Him and tremble. Google what it means to believe on Jesus for a
better understanding of relationship between Creator and created. How to believe.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things unseen
