***SAve the Trees, kil the babies. How does that make sence I believe that abortion is cruel and shouldnt be allowed. what do you think?***

If you put it that way it actually makes MORE sense. Trees are essential to keeping a life sustaining environment on Earth. Humans have already overpopulated this planet, and are consuming natural resources faster than they can be produced. So technically, unwanted pregnancies are less of a priority. Actually, humanity (from an environmental perspective) as a whole is unnecessary.

Now from a moral standpoint. I'm not pro-abortion, I'm pro-CHOICE... because abortions are sometimes necessary...

I'm pro-life, but that doesn't give me the right to enforce my beliefs on others. If someone asks what they should do, I'll obviously tell them not to abort, but unless my opinion is asked for, I keep it to myself.

Live and let live.

At twelve weeks old, a fetus has the brain capacity to respond to pain stimuli, which implies that they do in fact feel pain. If you don't want the child, use a condom or a morning after pill(the latter which is generally an option after a rape, though I still do have mixed feelings about aborting after a rape) so it doesn't become a child to begin with.

Unless the baby is of danger to the mother, deal with it. You were the one spreading your legs. At most it's a few months out of your life, then you can give the child up for adoption.

...iffy... means you're pro-choice...

You should also consider what should happen when a pregnant girl suffers potentially life-threatening ailments during pregnancy. Must she allow herself AND the baby to be killed? That's killing TWO people, instead of one. Should she not have a CHOICE in the matter?

This is why I don't enforce my beliefs on others.
If it were me, I would risk my own life to save the baby, but I don't expect anyone else to do that.

Understood. That would be where CHOICE comes into play. But I see no one ELSE is paying attention.

You're taking things out of context and literally, Captainassassin. Instigator as usual.

Pro-life and pro-choice are the terms used to describe people opposed and supportive of abortion.

Answered by fau on Apr 20, 2009, 02:35PM

Pro-lifers annoy me almost as much as people who support the death penalty.
I don't know why they have to take such a judgmental standpoint against it?

I fully advocate safe sex but in case of unwanted pregnancies, I fully support the right to have an abortion for any reason or no reason at all.

It's a woman's society given right to regulate her reproduction cycle.
It's her body and I think it should be her perogative whether or not she wants to continue a pregnancy.

Some people would call it murder, but I'd call it putting priorities in order.

No, I think that it is up to people what they do, but I beloeve that abortions are OK, under certain circumstances. And I also agree with what captainassassin said (the first person to comment).

You don't know what you're talking about, as usual. And maybe you should actually respond to the thread topic, before calling someone ELSE an instigator... hypocrite...

***Pro-life and pro-choice are the terms used to describe people opposed and supportive of abortion.***

No... they aren't... Pro-choice means the individual supports the woman's right TO CHOOSE. Dare to learn.
