Do rats attract other rats?

but do they?
Also, do rats make good pets for a 14 year old gal like myself?
and is it better do get a buck or doe rat (boy or girl)?

Domestic rats won't attract wild rats, I wouldn't think...Wild rats are attracted to eatable garbage, grain silo's, etc...

And yeah...I think a rat would make a great pet!! I'd have one in a second, if my husband would allow it...but he won't...
