What type of pain killers? If it is a narcotic pain killer ie. percocet, darvocet, codeine and some others like morphine and such yes they can cause constipation. Over the counter pain killers like tylenol, Aspirin, Advil, and motrin should not cause either diarrhea or constipation unless they aggravate your IBS for some reason.
