Do i need to call the police??

Hi im 21 years old and when I was about 12 my uncle used to touch me and stroke me in a very wrong way but it never got any worse that that. My mum had asked me around that time if my uncle had ever done anything bad and I was scared to tell her and now...

I am really regretting not telling her or calling the police and now im afraid its to late but its eating me up now and I have suffered with depression because of it. If I go to the police now I have no evidence and its his word against mine, what can I do? Nobody knows this apart from him and my current partner and I dont want to tell my mum after all this time.

oh and and aswell if I were you id kick the living fcuk out of your uncle too

I doubt you can call the cops now.. but maybe if you tell your mom you can feel a lot better or get councilling...

No it's not too late. There is now no statute of limitations on child molestation. If you're still suffering from it, then there is no reason why he shouldn't be punished. Child molestation is a complicated issue- police and prosecuting attorneys (and DA's) understand that it takes years for abuse to be reported in a LOT of situations. The important thing is that you come forward and prevent this pervert from hurting any other young girls.

this might sound stupid but if your worried because you think your going to hell or something dont be any sin can be forgiven once you pray to god with remorse,
but if it was not your choice then theres no need,
so go tell your mam because there could be another kid out there who could fall vicitim to your sick uncle and go thru the same thing you are,
and even if theres no proof you can get a restraning order against him and dark secrects always come out to light sooner or later,

Its never to late. Call to police file a police report... Do something don't leave that for later!

happiness is important and if you are seriously unhappy about not telling anyone and want to get it out into the clear then go for it, whats the worst that can happen? the longer you keep it bottled up the more depressed you wil be belive me!
