Do I like him?

So I have this friend who is really funny. I think I might like him but im not sure. he is a friend of a friend so I hardly ever see him but we talk all the time online..practially every day for a few hours. another one of my friends thinks he likes me so im not sure if that is why I like him...or think I like him. how do I tell if I really like him?

1 do you realy know him
2 do you trust him
3 do you like the way he looks ( looks aren't everything but they are something )
4 there is only realy one way to tell hang out more in person or go on a date what ever happens if he says no when/if you ask him then it was not ment to be enles you think you still think you like him
