Do i have an exercise addiction?

I was bored Asked by duh_its_me about 1 year ago, 9 answers.

My dad says I had an exercise addiction. I didn't really believe him until my coach said it. Do I really have it?? Here's my normal exercises...
(10) leg lifts with ankle weights
(20) dead bugs with ankle weights
(10) crunches with ankle weights
(10)...

sit ups with ankle weights
(10) half leg lifts with ankle weights
(23) crossed leg sit ups with ankle weights
(25) right crunches with ankle weights
(25) left crunches with ankle weights
(100) bicycles with ankle weights
(10) push ups with arm weights
(10) reverse scissors with ankle weights
(15) jump squats
(20) reverse lunges with kicks with ankle weights.
I do all of those no less than 6 times a day.
And I run 2-4 miles a day...
I do that on top of my athletics at school.
I'm not exaggerating or anything.
Even when I'm hurt, I exercise. I can't stop myself. And when I don't exercise for any reason, I feel guilty and not eat or eat very little. Please let me know. I need to know the truth!

well, I'm glad to hear you'll be strong enough to out run a giant centipede.
I love your exercise plan, I basically do the same thing, just not 6 times a day, only like 3 times a day. try not to feel guilty if you miss exercise, because its great to take a break. oh, and don't do it if you're hurt, you might damage your bone or muscle and not be able to exercise anymore. Good Luck

If you're trying to build muscle and strength, you need to wait at least 36 hours between excercising each body part, to allow the muscle to repair and grow. Otherwise, it can actually have the reverse affect. You can become weaker. You're not giving your body a chance to regenerate.

If you are an excercise fanatic, you need to do some reading on weight training and fitness, and understand what the body needs..

You can still work out every day -- just schedule it so you're doing something different - create a 3 day routine. You'll see positive and fast results!

I personaly think a person can nerver over exercise, because most people dont even exercise ( mainly towards adults and some young adults). Eating right is another thing, you need to eat the right foods in order to maximize your gains and perform better. Just because a person exercises dosent mean they can eat crap. Eating lots of vegtables and fruits will do you good. Also you should try eating some raw nuts(Almonds) they are really good for you, none of that toasted and salted crap though.

You are talking about an eating disorder and have already asked a previous question about losing weight saying:

'How do I get to be anorexic or bulemic?'

The support you are looking for amounts to potential self harm and as such are in breach of the terms of use for this site.

You would be far wiser to seek professional support.

Good Luck!
