Do i have a world record with my fish?

I have had a pet goldfish for 8 years now, is that a record? He went through 7 days without food because of a hurricane e-vac, and was shockingly found alive. The thing is, we bought him a wal-mart! :d

wow...the longet I ever had a fish was a few weeks, maybe a month...kudos to Wal-Mart for selling good fish!

Wlel,I dont think he's the longest living,
I googled it,and the longest one in records was 14 years.
But Maybe he'll live longer

okay...the longest my fish ever lived was 3 months. And I was totally careful. Thats acutally pretty cool!

We had two who had to have been10 or 11 years...I kept thinking they needed a bigger tank (stupid me, didn't know that they grow according to the tank size, not vice versa)...LOL...We got them from hubby's grandma who'd had them for 6 years, and we had them for 4 or 5 years...

But yours is getting darn close to a record...and he's probably the only goldfish who lived thru a hurracane!!! happy
