Dear nestamar,
Your story holds some questions for me...why did your child stay with your parents for 2 weeks? They only reported you when you left your child with them? Why would your mother make up lies? There is still too much that isn't being told. The bottom line is that they would not take your child from you without evidence...you see they are accountable to the law as well. You would have to prove your innocents in these cases...they always err on the side of caution for good reason. It you have nothing to hide allow a full investigation.
Sue...good luck

Do i have a case?
This is so long I think it would be best to just list the main points, and if you need any other information please feel free to ask me.
In 2005 I moved away with my child.
A few months later I allowed my child to stay with his grandparents for a 2...
week visit.
Whilst he was there, my mother got an emergancy residence order against me and my partner, and told me to get my child back I would have to see her in court she also enrolled him back at his old school, even though he was still going to school here.
A week later I got a letter saying I had to be at court to fight for custody. I did not have enough time to find a solicitor/lawyer, and book flights etc so it was adjourned to a later date. In this time I was told that if I went to pick up my child I would be arrested for abduction.
At this time I was seriously messed up as I didnt have a clue what was going on, my childs father who was origionally ok with me taking our child then changed his mind when my mother told me my partner was beating my child. I then got a letter from his solicitor saying he was also going to fight for custody, although he never showed up again after that.
I went into a depression, all of my old friends turned against me, my mother told me that two of my friends were going to testify on her behalf (I since got a message from one of the friends, she said she has been trying to contact me for the last 2 years to tell me what my mother had actually said to her, and that my mother had refused to take no for an answer.
In the court papers I recieved a week before I was due in court, it stated that the reason my mother was doing this was because my son had told her over the phone that he was not happy here, and that his school had contacted her to tell her his education was suffering here (wouldnt they have contacted me and not her if my son was having problems at school?
The papers also stated that my partner was abusing my child, that we didnt send him to school, and that we were starving him.
The thing is, my mother ended up getting custody, and I have been going over everything in my head, and in the papers, it was all lies, and I have managed to obtain proof that my child was not known to the child protection agency like she told them he was, she also said he was known to an educational social service?!? I called social services who have also confirmed that he is not known to them either, and also the dept she said was investigating didnt even exist.
The main thing thats in my head now is the fact that my partner was supposed to have been abusing my child, that is the reason she got the residnece order so quickly, but, my partner was never investigated by anyone, he was never even questioned.
Not one person ever came out to our house to see the conditions my son was living in, threfore isnt it just hearsay? Shouldnt we have been investigated or questioned about any of this at least?
I now speak to my son over the phone, and I would give my life to have him back and just have this normal life, I know that wont happen after all this.
It has just come to my attention that my mother has recently had her car impounded as she was caught driving without a licience, insurence, tax or mot, meaning this responsible person the court gave my child to has been driving around with my child in an uninsured car, she has also been claiming benefits (as did her husband) whilst he was working.
With the new things I have found out, and with the proof I now have stating my child was never known to child protection, would I have a case against her?
