Apparently this is a myth! As one website says 'Wear all the hats that you want, for as long as you want. However, just make sure to let your scalp breathe for at least seven hours a day (don't sleep with a hat on, genius).' For more information on balding and the myths that surrond it I suggest visiting this website: http://en.wikipedia....
Hope this helps!
very much agree with every word zorbot said, but in addition genetics plays a huge huge role in balding and also too much shampooing and conditioning every day.........get some kind of an herbal or fruit extract shampoo, too much 'Selsun blue' and 'head and shoulders' will kill your everyday natural shine after a while ofcourse...........keep with the phrase 'everything in moderation' after all you really don't breathe all the air at once! because that will rupture your lungs because of limited capacity..........ya dig?..........keep it real
hope this helps

Do hats make you go bald?

I am getting some thinning hair and I am worried that the cap I have been wearing might make it fall out prematurely. Is this something to worry over or is it just a myth?
