I would say liquid because gas is not a solid.

I would say that forces would have a stronger effect on gases; because gases are compressible while liquids cannot be compressed. A compressed gas can have drastically different behaviour depending on the gas (example = oxygen)

I would say liquids, simply because they are more dense
