In using a computer data/files/bits of info. are placed on the hard drive in random fashion.
(fragmentation). This causes the computer to work more & slows it down when retrieving
this info. Periodicaly the HD should be defragmented. Meaning everything on it is rearranged,
organized, & grouped together. Then, it runs faster & more smoothly when retrieving the info.
