Difficult situation with a suicidal boyfriend

My long-term boyfriend took an overdose last week... He just says that he's fed up with his life, but personally I think its to do with having no family that care about him--- He's got me of course! But I dont know what to do, now im paranoid in case he does it again!
He's been to jail 6 times and just recently got out, and doesn't really have nothing!
I really love him and wana help but I dont know whata do! Weve applyed for an apartment, that'll be good because it'll get us away from all the people that wana bring him down and in trouble!

Any ideas to make him feel better, like the grass is greener on the other side?

im pretty sure you can take care of it. I hardly doubt any guy would want to leave a girl like you behind. He just got out of jail, I'd be crazy too. just show him how much you love him.

tell him that if he can't lose the drug and stay out of jail you'll leave him. is problems can become yours and you need to know where to draw the line.
