Different kind of period

Muffin Asked by muffinmaker about 1 year ago, 1 answer.

I hope someone can help me. This is going to be a little graphic..

My periods are usually dark red blood, heavy flow, and lots of clotting or tissue bits/strips (from the uterus lining). The heavy flow usually lasts about 3 days, followed by another 3...

to 4 days of gradually stopping.

But my period this month is more bright red, mixed with lots of egg-white texture cervical mucus. The first day (on the 3rd Nov) was pretty heavy flow, and I got all the usual painful back and bloating and all... but today it's slowly starting to gradually stop in a couple of days. And no chunks of the uterus lining is to be seen yet.

Hopefully this period lasts as long as a regular period, or I'd be more worried. Any thoughts on what may cause this or if it's normal? I haven't felt any differently from my usual periods, and I don't think that I'm pregnant though I won't throw out the possibility. Help?

Ok you are eactly like me. I use to have really heavy periods but now there only heavy the first day then super light for two days. Im am a lot more happier with mine even though it freaked me out. But if you worried talk to your mom or a doctor. They can help you a lot. But if you dont fell any out of the ordinary then I wouldnt worry about it.
