I learned in a college nutrition class about gum diets and how they cause horrible diarrhea, due to a component of gum. I would not recommend it. Just eat healthy, and in the right proportions, that is the absolute best diet if you want to actually be healthy.
Daily Reference Values (DRVs)
(Based on 2,000 calories a day for adults and children over 4 only)
Food Component DRV
fat 65 grams (g)
saturated fatty acids 20 g
cholesterol 300 milligrams (mg)
total carbohydrate 300 g
fiber 25 g
sodium 2,400 mg
potassium 3,500 mg
protein 50 g
Sticking to that, along with exercise for at least 30 minutes daily, is the best way to get fit and healthy. Crash dieting does not work. Once your body has not eaten in over 5 hours, it goes into starvation mode, and stores anything you eat afterwards. Not a good idea.
Hope I helped
