Dropped out when I was 16 But I've been working ever sence. No savings because kids are expensive but I work for a Roofers union and I get a Raise every 6oo Hours with max pay 36 dolars an hour but take home only like 29 or 30 even BEFORE taxes. I pay health and welfare, pension, training... SO I wouldnt have had to work so hard if I went to college but would have missed out on a lot of the money I've made'and spent'. I just think 'only 16 more years of roofing then I can retire and go back to school. if I can save enough to get me by to do that but when I start to get my retirement at max is 7000 amonth Hard work always pays off in the feild or in school
Yup, I went to college. Got both my Bachelors and Masters with no student debt, due to scholarships. I'm grateful everyday for my education; I really feel that it does give me opportunities in the workforce to be successful. I don't think I missed out on anything. While I was in college, everyone I know who didn't go to college was either doing drugs, working crappy jobs, or sitting at home watching TV. Not that I don't respect them, it's just a different path in life.
I didnt go to college or as we here call it university but I run a 10 person cleaning business. I dont clean anymore because I have too much paper work to do with it but we put through about 150 grand a year now and when I took it over they were only putting through 50 so I think I am succesfull in what im doing. Running 10 staff on a day to day basis is very hard! It does my head in sometimes.
I went to college and I got my BA Degree in Christian Edcuation
Thank you all for your answeres, they've made me think a lot.
im 16 now, and only have 2 more years to decide if I want to go, and I kind of dont want to, but when I think about it, if I dont go, where am I going to be in 5 years? nowhere good. but I cant afford college, and I dont think im smart enough either, so if I do manage to get money for it, im going to end up failing, and all that money has been wasted. so I kind of dont have a choice, I cant go. my brother went to college, and he was really smart, he got accepted to great colleges, but because he couldnt afford it, he ended up going to community college, and dropped out because he just couldnt afford it, and now hes living with his girlfriend, working all the time, barely making it, living off what hes getting, but since when he was a teenager he got into smoking and drinking, hes like addicted now, so he spends a lot of money and beer and cigerettes, and hes just struggeling. and I dont want that, if I go to college I'll be the same, I'll end up dropping out and living on my own, struggeling to make it through the weeks. it sucks to think about, but its true

Did you go to college?
How many of you didnt go to college? and where are you now? do you think of yourself as succesful? if you could, would you take the oppertunity to go back to college? do you ever regret not going?
and if you did go to college, where are you now? do you think you missed out on certain oppertunities while you were in college? do you think it took a lot of time and money out of your life, or do you think it was worth it?
Thanks!
