AD does wonders, especially for children who a sensitive to zinc...but in my experience, {{and it will sound odd}} equate brand diaper rash cream seems to work better than desitin.
If there are serious red bumps and creams dont seem to work, it may be a yeast infection {{yes, even if the bumps are on the childs rear}}. Nystatin seems to help best for that, but you can only get it though a prescription.
Letting them go without a diaper, like mandyloo said, is also very helpful.
