Diabetes and boys..

I've had type 1 diabetes for 4 1/2 years. I was wondering about this earlier but do you think that being diabetic would ruin my chances with a guy? I think that the average guy would be cool with it but I'm worried that later in life one guy might be a...

jerk about it and not want 2 be around me. now that I've had it for a while I've learned to live with it and I don't always say why me anymore...but I'm still a little scared that being diabetic could ruin my chances. And I do know that the guy who did that who would be a jerk. Thanks... happy And I wouldn't mind a guys opinion. happy

if you do come across a guy like that you shouldnt be even considering to get to know him, there is nothing wrong with it at all =)

there's nothing wrong with it at all. and I don't think a guy would EVER take your having diabetes as a potential dealbreaker. :]

yah there is nothing wrong with that at all. A guy shouldn't look at that and say, okay, im booking it! and if he does he's a moron. I really doubt theres many if any low guys in this world that would take that as a deal breaker.

You are 100% correct there, so this is actually a cloud with a silver lining. You can consider your diabetes an automatic jerk filter, lol. Rather than it lessening your chances at finding a nice guy, it will narrow your chances to the ones who actually count - the ones with substance and integrity.

I've been a diabetic since I was 6 years, all the guys I've been with seem more interested than rejecting it. And if you happen to come across a guy who thinks badly of it then he's not worth it.
