Depression is a chronic illness caused, in part, by a reduction in various neurotransmitters in the brain. It is not just the 'feeling down in the dumps' that we all get from time to time. Depression is usually something that comes in periods of a few days to a few weeks, and some people have depression for months without treatment. If you think you're depressed, make sure you get lots of fresh air and excercise. Hang out with your friends, try to avoid alcohol, and, as sumagrl31 said, do stuff to have fun. I know you may feel unmotivated to do stuff, but you should try your best to get out there and mix with people. Also, seeing a doctor is a good idea if you're feeling depressed, there are loads of treatments and stuff to make you feel better...
what is making you depressed? is it your friends your enviroment are you taking any mind altering substances?
all these things must be thought out
if its your friends try to make new friends or change your daily routines...
change your environment does your room look dull? paint it a fresh color like yellow or grass green
go out more enjoy the day more appreciate every little thing that makes you happy
keep of those drugs and alcohol
and smile ^_^ its the best medicine
