Horse Asked by prettysoutherngal about 1 year ago, 6 answers.

I have been suffereing from depression since I was in 2nd grade, and right now its really getting me down. Its like I have learned to live with it, not in the most healthful of ways, but I've managed, and I am just tired of it now. I am almost afraid of...

being alone now, its kinda scary, and tiring. what are some ways to self cope, I have never been able to let my feelings out so I need ways to help myself.

like nothing happened? I dont have the mental power to do that, and I know it. I have friends, but I really dont want to burden them with the idea that there friend told them she might kill herself and then did. im not that kind of person, and im not telling them that I hurt myself, becasue I dont want to worry them. youve obviously NEVER truly been depressed its harder than you think.

I would visit the doctor and explain the situation. There are a bunch of people out there with depression. My mother has it, and they perscribed a medication that seems to work. As for trying to self-cope, you might want to try to stay away from stressfull situations and do things that you enjoy.. Maybe take a hot bubble bath or something to try and take your mind off of whatever you think is making your depression worse at the moment.

        Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
        And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
        And also, too, to help you to know,
        That in knowing you, many others grow!

Why continue to suffer through this when there are so many medications out there that can help you feel better? I feel for you, believe my, I have depression and I'm not in any way trying to imply that there is any magic pill because there isn't, but there are meds that will help. There is a way out of the black hole.
