Exactly right, if you come here legally no matter what country you come from---there is no problem. But people who try to sneak in and women who cross the Tijuana River when they are ready to deliver their babys and cross the river to deliver their babies who are then American citzens so Mom gets to stay here with him/her---that is just all kinds of wrong!!
Come legally and stay, learn English as a second language, pay taxes, and welcome to America!!!

I know some of this sounds harsh, but it truly is not meant to be. :•)

no that is understandable.
BUT I have to emphasize the LEGAL aspect of it.

I am not trying to be rude by making this statement.
it is DISRESPECTFUL to the laws of the united states to come here illegally. and the repercussion for getting caught here illegally is deportation. I believe that the punishment for illegally immigrating into mexico from south ameria is far worse. someone who breaks the law, and gets caught- has to face the repercussions of that action.
I know all of the arguments for immigration- and I do not have a problem with legal immigration.
I have a problem with ILLEGAL immigration- and if it was a member of my family I would be telling them to go through the channels to do it the right way- it is being responsible and caring towards someone to encourage THEM to be responsible.
IMMIGRATION - YES- BUT LEGALLY.

If a person is legally here, they won't get deported unless they commit a crime...

If I went to another country, I'm quite sure they would EXPECT me to follow their laws...and if I didn't I could expect to be put into their jail, or sent back home.

I agree with baldwinwolf...
