Hold some weights in each hand down by your side and raise one of your hands straight up to nose or eye level without bending your elbow. Hold this position for 5 seconds and bring your hand down as you raised it (without a bend in your elbow) Once down by your side, repeat same movement with other hand and then other hand and so on. Continue this exercise until the burn deep throughout your delts becomes unbearable and then push yourself to continue for ten more reps, two to three more sets. Depending on how hard you're willing to push yourself you should begin seeing the effects of aforementioned exercise within a matter of weeks. Always give your muscles ample rest, they will rebuild bigger stronger during down time. Good Luck!! Remember: No brains, No gains!

There are NO shortcuts, Lateral raises are one of, if not the best exercise (if done correctly) for seriously defining your deltoid muscles. However, if you want the strongest most defined delts in the shortest amount of time I recommend purchasing some post-hole diggers and work those for 15 min. a day, 4-5 days a week.
