Interestingly enough, we had a member come back a few days ago that hadn't been on the site in 2 years, upload a photo, and ask another question.

We do delete members with bad data...however, if we removed all the inactive profiles, then people who come back after a set period of time would have to sign up again, which would annoy them, I think, and make them less likely to use the site a second time.

        Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
        And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
        And also, too, to help you to know,
        That in knowing you, many others grow!

Another advantage to keeping the inactive profiles is that when you view an old Question or Answer you are able to click on the author and view their profile which may give you a little insight on where they might be coming from when giving their advice/opinion.
