Define love

I just got asked to define love right now
I know what it is but I don't know how to put it in words
Can someone help me out??

love to me is
1) devotion
2) attraction (physical, emotional and sexual)
3) desire
4) passion
5) affection
6) wanting to be around that person every second, every minute, every hour of the day
7) standing completely naked in front of that person and not feel one bit of shame
8) when being with that special someone makes you feel as though your on cloud nine

Love is not how you feel (most of that is lust), but rather what you do. If I say I love you but do nothing for or with you then I do not love you. But If I help you, if I do things for you, for your betterment and not for your harm then you can say I love you even though I never said it.

Love = what I do that helps you and lifts you up, even above myself.

I heard it said this way best “For God so LOVED the world he gave …”

Giving not receiving is love. What most of us feel when we meet someone has to do with us getting something out of it not what can I do to help that other person. A friend is a friend because they give of themselves to us and in return we should love them back.
