Dating and the internet

So a guy that I met online is wanting me to meet up with him so we can talk about things and maybe get together. We have talked for about 2 weeks and its been the best 2 weeks of our lives. But I'm having trouble of getting over the fear of meeting...

someone off the computer in real life. Has anyone else had this problem or any good suggestions that I might be able to follow? He is a really sweet guy he is 25 and I'm 21 if anyone is wondering. By the way, we have seen each other over the computer and I've also seen him in real life, but was to shy to speak to him.

If your going to meet someone online, make sure its somewhere that a lot of people are. Like a coffee shop, a mall or something like that. Of course your going to have that fear, thats why its good to go somewhere that a lot of other people are so that it makes you feel more safe.

Meet in a public place - make it for a short time incase things are dreadful. I think half the battle is done really with the fear thing, though, because you've already seen him so there won't be that jolt of discomfort when he turns out to be pasty faced and shifty eyed...

Well, you have to be careful. Remember that there are internet predators EVERYWHERE that talk people into meeting them just so they can hurt/rape/kill them. I don't mean to scare you, but it's true!! If you feel like you trust the guy and he trusts you, as long as you know you are safe with him, you shouldn't have a problem. 2 weeks is not a very long time, but if you feel that you are ready, there should be nothing stopping you. You should meet in a public place so you feel safer with more people around, and get to know him better there before you let him take you anywhere where you two are alone. Good luck!

well, definatley take your own car lol, but if you dont feel safe bring along a good friend
