Dateing ages

If I'm 16 is is illegal for me to date a 19 year old or an 18 year old?
like I'm confused about the whole dating ages thing.
people say its illegal, and other people say it's not.
it's just so confusing.

Its illegal if your having sex.
Its called statutory rape.

Also its up to your parents if they wanna press charges.

You can date. You just can't have intercourse. If you did the older boyfriend/girlfriend would go to jail 0_0

Dating age for a minor is what the parents deem appropriate, not illegal/legal - sex with a minor is when illegality comes in.

Anyone can date anyone legally. But if you plan on having sexual contact you have to be at least 16 for that to be legal in Indiana. Age of consent for sex in Indiana is 16.
