Why is everyone asking if they're ugly?

its gettin annoying...

if you think your ugly why would you ask? and why would anyone say you werent? only to make you feel good.
because like confident people are usally pretty is what I noticed. so asking people if you are ugly pretty much just makes you uglyish

No, they are asking because they KNOW they are pretty, and are fishing for compliments. They have very low self esteem, and have to hear they are pretty all the time.

it pretty much bothers everyone. theres like 30 posts a day asking that question.. it really does get annoying, because everyone is going to say the same thing:

'no, you're not ugly, just love the way you are! you're beautiful on the inside!!!1!!lkadj'

just to see if we think there pretty or something cause they think there ugly!

They are probaly bullied in school and they are wondering if they are telling the truth.

people ask for different reasons, low self esteem, fishing for compliments, to prove something to others or themselves...
either way yes its a stupid question, but sometimes people just need to feel better, and whats the harm in making them feel better?

Because most of them are really pretty and love being told 'OMG YOUR SO PRETTY!!!11!111oneoneshifteleven!!'

There either really vain and need somebody to tell them they are pretty because they expect it or they have low self-etseem and need compliments to feel better about themselves either way it's dumb and people need to start realizing its whats one the inside that matters not on the outside

People do it for attention because they don't get in anywhere else. I guess it boosts their confidence up a little bit when someone says they are pretty. The question is super anoying, it really is. Its on the boards daily from tons of different people. Its even more anoying when they same people post it all the time. Grr. I really wish they would stop.
I'm starting to think they do it just to p*ss us normal people off.

Some people struggle with self confidence... No matter what anyone says it's not something that comes easy for some as it does for others. Confidence is something a lot of people would LOVE to have. Some gain confidence by hearing others say they are pretty and some people honestly wonder if they are attractive or not. If it annoys you then dont read them. You are obviously someone with confidence or someone who doesn't care what people think about you. That is wonderful but that way of thinking does't come easy for some people. It is EXTREMLY hard to change the way you feel about yourself.
Blah blah sry this is so long but..I feel strongly about this.
