Cute and easy hairstyles for high school

I am a 14 year old girl and I am going into high school next week.
I normally straighten my hair but im tired of the same look.
I have redish brown hair and it is wazy. not a cute wavy but a weird wavy.
I really need new hairstyle ideas that are...

Straightening your hair damages it and often prevents growth.

Try braiding your hair really tight (several braids) while its still wet and when it dries, take the braids out and it'll be a pretty, kinkyish wavy, with waves as big as the braids are. But do it all in one direction or else it gets weird. Experiment with it, your hair can be fun.

I have medium brown hair with lots of layers.

I usualy put the top bits of my hair up, straighten the botton all nice then do my layers all crazy and messy. it looks cute, if it goes right, and I look like... erm.. like I have got up and my hair went rong but looks good. if that makes sence.
