okay, honestly, I got my hair perminantly straightneed. what every girl wants. and I did it three times, and since my hair is soo curly, it came out wavy, and my hair became SOO damaged that I'm finally letting it grow out and learn how to maintain my hair. I suggest you buy some hair supplies directly for curls.

A huge percentage of the girls I've dated have had curly hair. Curly hair RULES. I think you really need to stop fighting it and embrace the uniqueness. It's going to make you in HIGH demand in college.

In the meantime, go to the drug store and pick up a ceramic hair straightener and some leave-in moisturizer. Lots of people I've known have done this every day with no lasting damage to their hair.

Why not!?!? I would LOVE naturally curly hair, want to swap? haha.. If you really insist on getting rid of your curls then you can go to your salon and get it chemically straightened which costs around £60 it might seem pricey but will not damage your hair as your hair has time to restore its natural nutrients, it lasts around a month but is well worth it my cousin has it done every month and her hair is in perfect condition, I wouldnt suggest ceramic straightners though not for everyday use becuase you would have to hammer your hair with them as it has natural kinks and curls in! Good luck x

I'm not sure exactly what babybump means by hammering. I'm suspecting that she's a little confused as to what a ceramic hair straightener is. See a picture here:

I assure you that it is a very gentle process. I've done it myself many times.

omg I wish I had curly hair. I only get little waves when it's humid. but my best friend has curly hair and she hates it. you cant even tell its curly most of the time. all she does is take a bolwdryer and she got the attachment that looks like a comb and wallah! her extremely curly hair looks almost as straight as mine.

I had curly hair, and I mean soo curly. when it was straight it was down to the middle of my back, but as it slowly began drying it was up by my shoulders. so what I did, was I went to a hairdressers, and I got a chemical treatment, you go back every 5 months to get the roots done. it didnt damage my hair at all because before after they do it the put in a conditioner for 30 minutes. all together the first time took 3 hours. and the rest after that was about 2. happy its only 50 $ tooo

I straighten my hair everyday with no damages, just make sure to keep the flat iron moving at all times dont hold it on there.
