Curiousity

true blue hotty Asked by liim3shiin3 9 months ago, 5 answers.

I have a question out of many curiousities. I have looked up many information about pregnancy and birth. I'm interested in learning about these things. I used to be on the Depo-Povera. My question is, my last shot was April 15th 2008. So, I heard that it...

takes about 12 months or 18 months in order to conceive after being on the needle. Now, is this true or is it a myth? And how do you know when you're ovulating? For example, I had my last period from January 23rd till January 30th. Does this mean that I am on a 28 day cycle? How would I calculate this? I was supposed to have my period this month, but I missed it. I understand truly that it is very common for most women to miss their period for a month and than it gets skiped to the next month. Can anyone help me out and tell me how this is supposed to work?

I believe depo provera is a 3 month shot. I used to have my doctor have me come in exactly in three months. If it was a week too late, they had me taking a pregnancy test and two weeks later another pregnancy test so I was for sure not pregnant. Finally after that I could re-start my contraceptives. Sorry for the long explanation. Yes you can get pregnant immediately after your dose expired in 3 months. I did miss a few periods every other month after depo. Be careful because at your age your hormone levels are high enough to get pregnant very easily. Ovulation is usually two weeks after your period. You should feel the cramping in your uterus at that time. Also you will have very slippery discharge when you are most fertile. I hope I helped if not you can always fun mail me.
