How can you believe in god without any doubts?
I don't understand how people can Just Believe in something that they can't see.
They make it sound so easy to just 'have faith.'
I wish that I could believe in him/her, but I don't know how.
I know...

that something amazing is behind this..
We are living, breathing humans, and I know that something made us,
but what?

How can someone Prove that GOD exists?

Since people are aware of their own mortality, the majority of them NEED an explanation for how the universe started, and what happened before life, and what happens after death. Mankind has always been at odds with these questions. And there have been countless theories. Be it true or fabricated; NONE of it can be ultimately proven or disproven.

try reading the bible. someday god will actually show us that he exists. he wants you to have faith until that day, so just keep believing.

u cant prove it. only way is to see things for urself
like love, for it to be real you need to feel/experience it
if religion didnt exist and I started going around the world telling people what is in the bible people would be skeptical. people shouldnt take the bible literally, but morally
theres a reason why they call it faith
man wrote the bible
religion creates ignorance and violence
but its good to question things
when your raised in believing something you alrdy take it as truth and end up not questioning it to get answers. they say atheists are the most faithful
cant argue with it, just respect
its more of a consciousness, one love

yes it is unbelievable, and what has been termed as organized' religion has the distinct taint of mans imagination written all over it (figuratively as well as literally).

use your own judgement for which direction you should take, but do so with your eyes and your mind wide open- because those that preach these religions are good at twisting things around and making things sound wonderful.

look at history- and make your own decision whether you want to be a part of 'organized' religion- after seeing (with eyes and mind open) what it has done and accomplished over the past 2 millenium- and what it's goals for the future could be, AND WHY.

Weeell, the most logical answer at the moment would probably be evolution. Since it's the only thing that has some facts to back it up. Like fossil records etc etc

Also, depends on what you mean by god. If some kind of creatures, maybe humanoid creatures made us, would you call them gods?

How can someone Prove that GOD exists?

Um, that's the problem. No one can. There are no evidence. Also, think about this lill quote here(guess I'll be using it everywhere now, heh)

What can be asserted without evidence, can also be dismissed without evidence.

You can't tell someone to try and read the bible, most atheist _have_ read the bible, once or more than once and found it quite humourous. The bible is full of contradictions and I dont see how anyone could take that book seriously. All of the stories have been stolen from other religions, there are contradiction, and it was written in a time period when the world was so different - that it's _insane_ to follow the same rules when the world is a different place. It's ridiculous.

Faith, by definition, is belief that is not based on proof. So, if you're going to have faith in something, you need another reason to believe in it other than physical evidence. There is nothing in the natural world that suggests any particular god or gods exist, so belief in such gods is simply a choice you make.

Also keep in mind that belief in a god and a religion is something many people are raised with, not something they come to after life experience. There are some who do convert based on personal experience, but I've never met anyone who converted to a religion because they were persuaded by the evidence.

I know people will take this the wrong way but its the truth...

they are brainwashed into believing something that doesnt allow you to have doubts. I was raised to believe in god but thankfully, I am open minded and became agnostic

No one made us. We now know that we evolved. The fact Christianity hasn't accepted that doesn't make it less true.

I agree that love is Physiological and so is God.

Reading the bible won't do any good cause as mandyloo said many atheist have read the bible and found no real evidence.

Faith is needed. I see no reason for faith in the spirit in the sky. Nothing he has done has been looked at by science. Science hasn't figured everything out---yet. We learn things everyday. Faith is blindly following.

And I agree that many have been brainwashed as well.

Honey.. this proving thing is something new... it has been brought about by the athethists and the humanists, people always had doubts, but this generation is the Prove it generation. This is the evolution of the intelluctuals.

And God... is not in the proving business.

He is not a magician.

He is the God of the universe.

He does not have to Prove anything .

Nor does he intend to.

This is not the way he operates.

He is not on an ego trip.

His word says the Proof is all around you.

If you humble your heart, and come to him, truly desiring to know him...

He will manifest himself to you.

If you wait for him to PRove HImself... you will be waiting a mighty long time.

but this generation is the Prove it generation
also known as the age of reason. this generation is learning how to do away with superstitions.

look at whats happening in the gaza strip right now. none of it would be going on if either side wasn't trying to appese their god. Thats what all the fighting there is and has always been about.

you say silverwings that God doesn't have to prove anything yet he demands we believe in him and even worship him. So to demand this without real proof is unreasonable.

jester x: please post the verse the says God 'demands' we believe - I've never seen it.

I'm familiar with John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life - whosoever is whoever 'chooses' - not a demand - clearly gives the option to you and I.

Thanks !

Yeah... terrorists can also give you a choice: do what they ask, or they'll blow up the hostages. That's still called DEMANDS.

He is not on an ego trip.

Really? Then why does he promise to torture us for all eternity if we don't worship him and abase ourselves before him?

amblessed: please post the verse the says God 'demands' we believe - I've never seen it.

I'd say worship me vs eternal torture isn't much of a choice really, if it were true.
