Take sugar (regular sugar from the kitchen) and mix a nice handful of it with your favorite lotion (I recommend Palmer's cocoa butter). Grind the sugar/lotion concotion on your knees EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Do this sitting on the edge of the bathtub with your feet inthe tub because the sugar can get everywhere. You'll notice an amazing transformation immediately, but continue doin\g it everynight until you get it cured. Sugar sloughs off the dead/hard/dry skin and it also sbsorbs into the skin and softens it.
Also, for added help, get a loofah in your shower and every time you take a shower scrub with a good soap on the loofah.
Oh--and whatever it is you're doing on your knees a lot (sports, whatever), start wearing knee pads. My step sister in high school had rough, dry calloused knees and she had no idea why. Turns out she was a cheerleader and they were always on their knees on hard ground and grass and she always sat on the floor in her bedroom and walked around on her knees when doing things. So be mindful of how you treat your knees.
Find a dermatologist so you can get a prescription for a fade cream. You will then be advised to a cream/lotion that best suits your skin type. There are fantastic fade creams now with a prescription. I use Amlactin Moisturizer on the advise of my dermatologist. Moisture is very important in getting your knees back to the way they should be.
Most important, stay off your knees. Make a conscious effort to not be on your knees for any reason!
Hope this helps!
I have same issue, I'm using Amlactin also scrubbing my knees while taking a bath regularly from last 3 weeks but there is no effect yet...
