Crystal gayle, no fair shot.

I know that lorretta Lynn most definitely deserves the acclaim she has had, and I truly love her brand of country. I am just wondering if anyone feels ,as I do , that Crystal Gayle never really got the credit she deserved?

no. crystal gayle was not nearly the artist her sister was. gayle did not even write her one major hit.
loretta lynn was an incredible song writer.
she had more banned songs than any other artist in the history of country music, including 'Rated X,' about the double standards divorced women face, 'Wings Upon Your Horns,' about the loss of teenage virginity, and 'The Pill,' lyrics by T. D. Bayless, about a wife and mother becoming liberated via the birth control pill. her song 'Dear Uncle Sam,' released in 1966, was an early protest of the Vietnam War, and was added to live sets during the current Iraq War.

I believe that all crystal gayle has done is sing and grow her hair.
