Creepy ex boyfriend...

My ex of whom I never speak to wrote my dad a letter, see now the odd part of this is my dads in italy and I'm not even sure how he got his hands on the address.
My dad sent me the letter.

Dear mr giordano,
First off I would like to apologize for...

lying so much, I screwed up my relationship with your daughter because of it. I am hoping that sometime in the future your daughter and I can try to make things work out again. But I want to know if you would approv of me dating her again, because before I can ask her for another chance I'l like to ask your premission. Parents are one of the biggest things when it comes to a relationship and I wouldn't wanna date her against your wishes because I'm hoping one day I can marry her. I hope you can give me your premission to have another chance to be a better friend and boyfriend to your daughter if she gives me the chance.

The letter goes on for about 3 more pages.

My father barly speaks english and doesn't even know this guy. I'm not sure how I should be feeling about this, at this point I'm kinda disturbed.

What should I be feeling about all of this?

He sounds really sweet but it is kind of creepy at the same time. I would give him a call, text, or email and try to let him explain it because he obvilously still likes you. If you feel ok about what he has to say about the letter then give him another chance.

This is a trick. This is an obvious trick. We all do things like that when everything else doesn't work.

Maybe he wants you back, but that doesn't necessarily mean he loves you.

If a man loves someone, he would never do anything that might embarrass her infront of her parents, especially her dad. He would never put her in a position where her parents might not trust her.

Moreover, why would someone say sorry to the wrong person on purpose? Weird, isn't it? I mean it's you, not your dad, who should hear your ex apologize.

The letter is not sincere. Your ex is not honest. He lied in the past, why should you think he is not lying now?

Most importantly, if he had really loved you, he wouldn't have lied in the 1st place. He wouldn't have caused you any pain. He would have thought dozens of times before doing anything that might hurt you.

Ignore him. Don't even reply. Don't give him any damn hope.
