Can you whip cream in a blender?

Can you whip cream in a blender. I don't have a beater, only a blender. Can it whip cream?

yes you can whip cream in a blender

Anything that will whip air into it at a fast rate will work--whisking it by hand, blender, food processor, I've even done it with just a fork before. Takes forever, but it works.

My advice it that you go and buy a beater, though. Once you need something in the kitchen once, you find you need it more and more often. They're cheap.
