No, theres nothing 'wrong' with you, its common.
I feel the exact same way with my boyfriend, I feel as though he says it because he feels as though he has to. I guess you just have to trust him and remember theres no way of him proving that hes being honest about it. You have been together for over 9 months so I'm sure somewhere deep inside you, you know hes being honest. My boyfriend is always like 'your beautiful' and I'm all 'Nope' and hes like 'Do you always take compliments that well?' - after a while it really started to bother him so now I just say 'thanks' and it makes him smile. I think it would make your boyfriend happy as well to hear you just thank him for saying that and moving on with things, don't disagree, just thank him and move on with your conversation. I think once you start pretending to believe him, over time it will push you so its a real feeling.
Yes, something is wrong with you. He sees you as a nice girl. This can change by the time, but till he says this you should feel secure yourself, and enjoy the relationship.
Lol ok thank you for your advice.
Oh Man! I know exactly how you feel! My boyfriend is the same way! I know personally Im not the size I would like to be and that bothers me to no end! So naturaly I thought that everyone else including my boyfriend was thinking the same way I was! but it turns just because im not 100% happy with myself, doesnt mean my boyfriend looks at me in the same light I look at myself. It really helped me to look at all the positive things I like about me, and my body, and when my boyfriend gives me a compement, I try to ignore the feeling of 'oh jeeze im fat' or 'hes only he loves me because he feels bad' and turn it into, Yeah I am pretty Hott. Trust me once you look past the flaws and look at your positives it will make you happier, and your boyfriend love your new self confidence!!! Hope that helps a lil! Good Luck!!!

Could he be lying?

I am slightly heavier than most females my age. My boyfriend tells me I'm beautiful and gets upset when I think otherwise. But everytime he tells me so I feel like he is lying. It's like I'm programmed to believe otherwise. It bothers me that I cannot believe him. We have been together for 9 months and a little more than a week and he has not given me a reason not to trust him or anything but I still cannot beleive him when he tells me I'm fine just the way I am. Is there something wrong with me?
