young, young enough even to give any employer another 15+ years of my life. However, Its scary going back over such an awful event so many years ago. I guess it never goes away. I want to teach but in all likelihood that is out of the question because you can't teach young adults within school districts. I beg the difference because if you made one mistake, paid for it with your time and to society (whether guilty or not) you had to pay. You find yourself an example and a mentor and coach because there are so many young folks out there who need guidance and awareness about what can happen to them if they are in the wrong place. I am not talking about habitual criminals where they keep doing the same thing and eventually the wrong doings catches up. I am talking about being in the wrong place at the wrong time, being stupid, etc. You pay and learn, I mean really learned and you can't help anybody else. I have a degree and numerous of certificates and training. I was just wondering who is out there that needs me?

You could start by contacting your local employment office. They should help you by telling you which (if any) job vacancies in your area will hire felons. Also, I have heard that Goodwill and United Way both hire felons.

To whom it may concern I am 27 years old I live in Wichita Ks and I am a convicted felon who cant find a job. Although since my conviction I have paid my fines,completed my probation a year early, went back and got my ged in 06 and finished a certification and licensing technical coarse in march of this year. My conviction was in 2002 and since then I have married and had a family please help.
