there are many different options available. My friend who recently got married doesnt want to get pregnant before she graduates uni is on DPV (depo provera) shots which I think last about three months. It does take a while to return to normal fertility. Its best to talk to a GP. They can explain all the different methods available.

Birth control will definitely help her. There are a lot of contraceptive methods for women, I suggest she talk with her doctor to find out what would be best for her. As for wanting kids in the future, she will still be able to have a normal, healthy baby. My doctor told me in order to have a baby after being on the pill, you might have to wait about 3 months for all the birth control stuff to be out of your system.
