Right Click on your desktop and go to properties then go over to settings and then try to enable the second monitor. Or if you're lucky, one of your F buttons (F1, F2, F3, etc...) should have a little picture that should look something like a monitor or something like that. Try to press the Fn key at the bottom right hand corner of your laptop and then click that F button. (This is all assuming you have a windows machine and not a mac since you didn't give specifics).

I have sound but know picture. What am I not doing right. I have a dell laptop, and my tv is a lg plasma. I connect a monitor cord to my rbg slot on my tv. Please help.
